This is a very interesting site, written by Klaus Luebke from Hamburg. Klaus crewed for 2C - Two Charlie and explains why soaring contests are only held for the pleasure of the crew.  The site is written in German, but the pictures are in English, and is worth visiting even if you do not read German. ( maybe try it with Alta Vista's Web site translator program)
